Ed Anderson, Chairman of the Airport Operators Association, today said: “"Representatives of UK airport operators took part in a constructive discussion with Lord Adonis today, and continue to work closely with Department for Transport officials.” “We believe that an effective aviation security regime will adapt progressively and will combine multiple elements. Technology such as explosive detection devices and body-scanners will play an important part and there are further opportunities to make better use of intelligence, more co-ordination between relevant agencies and behavioural assessment of passengers.
